Words can hardly express the profound effect Stacy has had on family,     friends, community, state, and nation. Although he will be greatly missed, his legacy, philosophy, and deeds will live forever through the lives he has touched.                                          Sti-ute Stacy Close

Stacy Groscup was one of the greatest people ever to live on earth.I know his trip to be with our Savior was instant.I met Stacy when he was the minister at the Spruce St Methodist Church in Morgantown West Va.
I have also met his family and a truly  beautiful family they are.
Stacy was so generous and traveled to Virginia to perform the marriage ceremony for my wonderful son and daughter in law.He always had that beautiful smile and never failed to provide the most sound advice and guidance to all people when ask.He was truly a legend in his own time and his touch of our hearts and soul will live on forever. We shall misss you Stacy and we know that you are watching over each and every one of us and we thank you for having been the friend that you were and thank you for the wonderful family that you have left with us.Ken Shafer

Stacy, and his family came to Spruce St Church, when I was just a child, my mother was the organist there, but as a child, who really cares who the pastor of the church is???  Then in 1962 I became ill, he comforted my family, always hopeful, that the doctors would find out what was wrong with me.  When surgery day came Rev Groscup walked along side my bed to surgery door, and was waiting for me when it was all over...He showed me that a pastor and a child can have a wonderful growing relationship, most adults, didn't care.
I was blest with a beautful voice..I sang in the church, and we did many weddings together, Stacy, my mother, and I.  Whether there was accompaniment or not, The Lords Prayer, was always performed. He showed me how easy it was to trust the Lord, no matter what, and become a good christian follower. We will meet again, up there.... Close

My condolences to the family of Rev. Stacy Groscup.  I first saw Stacy shoot when I was 10-11 years old.  Upon starting college in Morgantown, I called him one day for some bow advice.  He insisted that I come to his house so that he could show me first hand.  That started a wonderful relationship for me.  While in school, I had the opportunity to spend alot of weekends going to shows and throwing for him.  It was during those times that I got to know him and see the impact his life had on those who came into contact with him.
He helped me order my bow, signed it, and wrote "wa Kon da Wish" (The Great Spirit Dwells Within).  I have spent many hours sitting in my stand with that bow reflecting on the times that I shared with Stacy.  My own son was born Sept. 19 and I pray that I can instill in him some of the values and lessons that Stacy has taught me.   Close

I only met Stacy once at a exibition shoot that he was doing at Mason dixon park neer Blacksville WV. After it was over i had a chance to talk to him and i myself just went to traditional equipment that year so i bombarded him with all the usual questions that im sure that he had answered a million times before. With each question he would smile and answer it. At the end of our conversation i shook his hand and then he asked me a question he said to me "Son are you saved" up to that time in my life i really never thought much about it. However since that day i have took Jesus Christ as my savior and im sure that one day i will see Stacy in heaven.

Although I have never met Stacy personally, I have had the pleasure of watching him in his archery video. Stacy had the passion and youthfulness of a boy but the wisdom and compassion of a man who has truly lived life. He was an inspiration. I wish I could say sti-ute but I will have to settle with looking forward to meeting him someday. May God bless you all, Ray Close
